Contact the institution offering the course or, if you are enrolled in a degree program already, speak to your advisor.

When can I enroll?

It depends on the course. Some courses are open enrollment and are completed at your own pace and some are based on the academic calendar and have specific start and stop dates. Contact the institution for more information about enrollment dates.

Will my grade appear on a transcript?

Your final grade in a credit-bearing course is recorded on an official transcript at the institution that offers the course. Check with that institution for transcript availability if you need to meet a deadline.

How do I ensure the course credit will apply to my goal?

The institution offering the course awards the academic credit upon completion of the course. If you wish to apply the credit to your degree program requirements, certification, or licensure, contact your advisor or the agency issuing the license or certification prior to enrollment in any course.

How long do I have to complete the course?

This varies by institution and sometimes by course. Check with the providing institution concerning the course that interests you.

How fast can I complete the course?

Minimum time for course completion differs by institution. If you intend to pursue a fast pace for self-study, check with the institution for its policy before you register.

How do I take exams?

Most exams must be proctored. Your syllabus/study guide will direct you in selecting a proctor.

Who can enroll?

Anyone capable of college-level work can enroll in courses. However, some institutions will require an application to the college in order for you to enroll. For registration information and more details take a look at the registration page.

Do I need to provide transcripts?

Most institutions do not require transcripts to enroll. However, some institutions will require an application to the college in order for you to enroll in which case a transcript may be requested. To enroll in some courses you may have to demonstrate that you meet all the pre-requisites.

Are there prerequisites?

If a course has prerequisites, they are listed in the course description. Occasionally instructor permission may be substituted for a prerequisite requirement. It is your responsibility to satisfy any prerequisite requirements if you are a degree-seeking student.

Do I have to be a Colorado resident?

No. Our students reside throughout the world.

What is the cost?

See each course description for estimated costs. Eligible students may be able to use the Colorado Opportunity Fund (COF) for some courses listed in this catalog. Contact the institution for the actual cost and fees prior to registering for a class. For more information about COF, visit the College in Colorado web site at www.collegeincolorado.org or call College in Colorado at 1-800-777-2757. The institutions and the Department of Higher Education reserve the right to change tuition rates without notice.

These policies are included in your course materials. Examine the course requirements and overview so that you understand the institutions policies. Refunds for courses may only be available during a limited time following enrollment. Confirm the policy of the providing institution before you register.
