The Distance Degree Program provides continuing education opportunities to off-campus students in a flexible, convenient format. The DVD, video-based and online programming allows you to take courses or complete a degree with no on-campus residency requirement. Studying with the Colorado State University Distance Programs means you are taking the same high-quality courses content offered on campus from various colleges including Agricultural Sciences, Applied Human Sciences, Business, Engineering, Forest Rangeland and Watershed Stewardship, Liberal Arts, Natural Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The Delivery Method Many students consider the flexibility of the Distance Degree Program to be its greatest asset. If your job requires occasional travel or you have family responsibilities, you will find that the DVD, video-based and online Distance Degree Program allows you to view course materials at a time convenient to you. Distance Degree Program students complete the same course requirements and take the same examinations as on-campus students. Interaction with your instructor is made possible through email, FAX, computer communication, surface mail, and telephone during office hours for faculty. Programs of Study The Distance Degree Program offers the following degree programs: Social Sciences: B.A. in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Communication and Public Affairs Adult Education and Training (AET): M.Ed. in Education and Human Resource Studies Agricultural Education: M. Agr. in Agricultural Sciences Civil Engineering: M.E. Computer Science: M.C.S. Engineering Management Program: M.S. in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Program: M.S., Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering Materials Engineering: M.S. in Mechanical Engineering Organizational Performance and Change (OPC): M.Ed. in Education and Human Resource Studies Rangeland Ecology: M.S. Statistics: M.S. Telecommunications: M.E. in Electrical and Computer Engineering Admissions to the Graduate School Completion of a degree program through the Distance Degree Program requires application and admission to Colorado State University and Colorado State Graduate School. Master's degrees vary from 30 to 42 semester credits. Of those credits, a minimum of 24 credits must be earned at Colorado State University, 21 of which must be earned after admission to the Graduate School. Prospective students are encouraged to contact the Graduate School for information on this important procedure, including restrictions on the credits that may be earned prior to admission and/or transferred into the program.
